We're Cat & Kat
Two friends, luxe fashion lovers and former brides who discovered the same problems from completely different angles.
While planning our own weddings, we found ourselves searching endlessly for beautiful pieces to cover every celebration for this incredible time in our lives.
Somewhere between wedding dress appointments, late-night scrolls and 5am nights out chats, The Bridal Edition was born.
CAT'S STORY
When I got engaged, I knew exactly what I wanted in a wedding dress: luxe, striking, a designer I could be sure of quality, and preloved.
What I didn't expect was how difficult that would be.
Between work, travel and wedding planning, I found myself trying to coordinate appointments across London and the UK, searching endlessly for the right gown. At one point, I even convinced myself I'd squeeze a bridal appointment into a spare 25 minutes during a work trip to Singapore. I had lost my mind a little.
At the same time, I was already a huge advocate of luxe fashion rental, both as a renter and lender myself, and loved the freedom it offered. Yet when it came to bridal fashion, there wasn't a real-life destination that combined luxury, circularity and great style in one place.
KAT'S STORY
I started my journey booking boutique appointments and trying on gorgeous dresses. But my heart was set on specific high-end designers whose pieces were simply beyond my budget.
I was open to finding a pre-loved or sample gown, but the process was exhausting and fragmented. Tracking down coveted designer gowns was time-consuming and I struggled to find places where I could experience them in a beautiful, elevated environment with proper styling advice.
It made me realise there was a missing link in bridal fashion; a space where iconic designer gowns are accessible, considered, and enjoyed through a truly luxurious, appointment-led experience.
And So The curation began
Although our experiences were different, we found ourselves asking many of the same questions.
Why did brides have to choose between style, quality and budget?
Why did circular bridal fashion often feel like a compromise rather than an opportunity?
And why wasn't there a place where brides could discover designer wedding gowns, fashion-forward rentals and expert styling all in one place?
We wanted to create the beautiful bridal playground we wished had existed when we were planning our own weddings.
A place where finding your dream gown felt exciting. A place where every wedding event, from engagement to honeymoon, could be styled with the same care and consideration as the main event. A place where luxury and circularity worked hand in hand.
What began as conversations between friends soon became The Bridal Edition.
The Bridal Edition Today
Today, The Bridal Edition is home to a curated collection of designer wedding gowns available to purchase, alongside fashion-forward bridal looks and accessories available to rent.
From our East London studio, we help brides build their entire bridal wardrobe; from the aisle to the after-party, the honeymoon and everything in between.
What we love most, though, is getting to know our brides. We honestly never tire of hearing about engagement parties, hen dos, wedding plans and all the excitement (and occasional chaos) that comes with them. More than once, we've been jokingly referred to as therapists (for legal reasons, we are absolutely not), but we're always happy to lend a listening ear, a giggle and a little reassurance alongside helping you find your dream bridal looks.
Most of all, we're here to help you celebrate one of life's biggest milestones in style.
