Account and Payments
Click on ‘Account' on the top left corner of our Homepage to sign up and register your details where a profile will be created for you and you will be requested to provide key account information (e.g. name, contact details – mobile and email, delivery & billing address, payment details). Once you are an Account Holder you will be free to browse, list, rent and buy all items across The Bridal Edition website.
To update the delivery address linked to your account, please view the ‘Account’ page and enter the new details. If you have already received a booking confirmation email for an upcoming rental that you would like to change the delivery address for, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk. We will try to update the order with the new address so long as your order has not already been dispatched.
To close your account, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk and we will process your request as soon as possible.
We use Shopify Payments powered by Stripe to facilitate payments for all major credit and debit cards. We also offer Klarna as a payment method.
How to buy
Browse our curated selection on The Bridal Edition website and purchase online once you have registered an account. Once you have registered, you can also book an appointment at our store to try on wedding gowns and purchase there.
Please note, prices are fixed but we sometimes run promotional offers, so we recommend you watch out for these. Sign up to our newsletter to ensure you don't miss out!
Absolutely! We know that having the perfect fit is very important. You can book an appointment at our store to try on wedding gowns before purchasing. We also encourage you to try on other bridal dresses, outfits and accessories for your other bridal events which can be rented. We’ll do our best to help you find another outfit if the ones you’ve picked aren’t suitable or available!
Our Gown Edition is only for purchase. However, we offer an amazing range of other bridal outfits in our Contemporary and Short Editions to rent, which we recommend as an alternative to a wedding gown.
To ensure a flawless fit or if you would like some bespoke changes, we work exclusively with our alterations partner. Your journey may begin with a virtual consultation, followed by a private fitting in our store where precise measurements are taken and any adjustments assessed. You’ll receive a tailored quote, and timeline. You have the option of a final fitting in store to ensure every detail is perfect.
Unfortunately, all wedding gown sales are final. We encourage you to come and try on in our London boutique store to ensure you can see and try on the gown in person. If you need help with an order, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk.
How to rent
Browse all our fabulous Editions for your bridal fashion needs on our website and make a rental order online once you have registered for account. Once you have registered, you can then also book an appointment at our store to try on clothes and accessories and place your rental order there.
When you book a rental for an item, you can choose to rent it for 4, 8 and 15 days.
We will deliver rental item(s) on the start date of your rental period, and you must return on the final date of the rental period; either my posting your return or dropping off in store.
Absolutely! You can book an appointment at our store to try on all bridal clothing and accessories before renting. We also encourage you to try on wedding gowns for the big day which are available to buy. We’ll do our best to help you find another outfit or accessory if the ones you’ve picked aren’t suitable or available!
Rental is the way forward but due to the nature of this model, there may be times something you'd like to try on is out for rent. Don't worry, we'll contact you in advance to chat through your options.
Please do! Our mission is to cater for all your bridal fashion needs from engagement through to your wedding and honeymoon. We’ve got you covered with our amazing Editions of clothes and accessories across your unique bridal journey for you to enjoy.
Each item can we rented on different days and for different block periods.
If you would like to keep an item for longer, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk before placing your rental order and we will confirm availability. This will incur additional rental fees.
The rental fee will be based on the selected block of days you wish to rent the item.
Other fees include delivery fees (returns are free) and a cleaning fee for most items, both are stated at checkout. You may incur additional charges for late returns, damage, loss or theft.
You may be asked to pay a security deposit on high value items of up to 10% of the item’s value. This is a refundable charge to pay, separate from the rental fee. The security deposit is held on your card for the total duration of the rental and is released once the item has been safely returned.
The rental fee, the delivery fee, the cleaning fee (if applicable) and security deposit (if applicable) will be charged at the time of your order.
Once a rental order has been processed it will not be possible to amend your order. You will need to cancel your existing order and make a new one with the revised item you’d like to rent. You may be subject to a cancellation fee. If you need help with this, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk.
We may allow temporary length alterations on bridal outfits at an additional cost but this is handled on a case-by-case basis and all alterations must be done by us. We advise against this to ensure items can be borrowed more frequently in the future.

Currently all rental items are only available for rent.
No, items should not require ironing or steaming, as we will do this prior to sending the item to you. However, if an item arrives creased, please hang it ahead of your event to allow any creases to fall out. If you experience any issues, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk.
All rented items are inspected and professionally cleaned after every rental. This may include using our partner dry cleaners.
We kindly ask that you treat rented items as if they are your own. Every order is covered for cleaning and any minor repairs such as loose threads, missing buttons or minor stains. However, we understand that accidents can happen. If there are any stains or damage beyond the standard level of wear and tear, contact us soon as possible at support@bridaledition.co.uk.
When you return the item, we will carry out a condition assessment to determine the extent of the damage and consider a suitable solution, including additional cleaning or repair. You may be charged an additional fee to restore the item to its original condition. We will not charge you for more than an amount equal to 100% of the replacement value which is in addition to the rental fee, the delivery fee, the cleaning fee (if applicable) and any late fees.
If the rental item is lost or stolen during the time of your rental, you will be charged the replacement value for the rental item. This is in addition to the rental fee, the delivery fee, the cleaning fee (if applicable) and any late fees.
Please email support@bridaledition.co.uk by 8pm on the rental start date with photo evidence of the damage. Please return the item using the pre-paid packaging and we will offer a full refund if the item has not been worn.
Size & fit
We do our absolute best to ensure that item descriptions and photos on The Bridal Edition website accurately match the clothing and accessories we rent or sell. We also include a size guide for each item.
Although items can be directly rented or purchased on The Bridal Edition website, we love welcoming future brides to try on outfits and accessories in our store to check sizing and fit.
Unfortunately we do not offer refunds if you purchase or rent online without trying on an item or the item does not meet your size or fit expectations.

The Bridal Edition stocks carefully curated preloved items of high quality, that sometimes only come in limited sizes. We try our best to list multiple items in different sizes where possible and cater for a range of sizes and body types and are growing our product range by the day!

FAQs - How to Lend or Sell
Lending & Selling
We welcome beautiful designer wedding gowns which sell and all other bridal fashion including, clothes, shoes, bags and other accessories from high end womenswear high end fashion brands which we rent.
1. Initial Submission: First, fill in our simple online form about your item(s) or email us at support@thebridaledition.co.uk. We may ask for a few further details or photographs following the form submission.
2. Drop-Off or Post: Send or drop off your item(s) to us. We’ll confirm safe receipt and begin our assessment.
3. Condition Check: Once we receive your item, we’ll assess its condition. If we feel the piece doesn’t quite meet our quality standards, we’ll return it at no cost to you if within London. For returns outside of London, we will charge the postage fee to ensure safe delivery back to you. Items can also be collected from our store.
4. Photography & Documentation: If accepted, we’ll photograph the item and document any signs of wear & tear. This record ensures transparency for both you and future renters.
5. Storage & Insurance: Your item will remain with us for a minimum of six months or be subject to an early termination fee. During this time, it is stored securely and fully insured. After this period, the partnership continues until either of us decides to end the agreement.
6. Listing Creation: We’ll handle the listing, including writing the product description and professionally photographing the item beautifully. We’ll agree a daily rental price with you but rental durations are set by us to meet customer demand.
7. Commission & Payment: We take a 20% commission on the rental fee for each successful hire and you will receive 80% of the rental fee. Payments are made monthly in arrears.
8. Item Management: We manage the entire rental cycle: trying on in store, shipping, returns, payment collection and cleaning between each use.
9. Promotion: Each item is guaranteed visibility through our website and social media channels giving your pieces a chance to shine (again and again).

3. Condition Check: Once we receive your dress, we’ll assess its condition. If we feel it isn’t suitable for resale, we’ll return it at no cost to you if within London. For returns outside of London, we will charge the postage fee to ensure safe delivery back to you. Items can also be collected.
4. Photography & Documentation: If accepted, we’ll professionally photograph the item and document any signs of wear & tear. This record ensures transparency for both you and buyers.
5. Storage & Insurance: Your item will remain with us indefinitely or be subject to a termination fee. During this time, it is stored securely and fully insured. The partnership continues until either of us decides to end the agreement.
6. Listing Creation: We’ll handle the listing, including writing the product description, and photographing your beautifully. We’ll agree the sale price with you.
7. Try-On Appointments: We offer brides-to-be a unique in-person experience in our London boutique, where they can try on dresses with their loved ones. Your gown will be part of this curated selection, giving it the best chance of finding the right match.
8. Commission & Payment: Once your dress sells, we take a 30% commission, and you will receive 70% of the final sale price. Payments are made monthly in arrears.
9. Item Management: We manage the entire selling process: trying on in store, shipping, payment collection.
10. Promotion: Each item is guaranteed visibility through our website and social media channels giving your dress a chance to shine (again and again).
We’d love you to list as many items as you would like with us! We will list each item individually.
Items must be dry-cleaned, in good rental and resale condition. Any items that are not of the expected standard may not be accepted.
Lenders or sellers may withdraw/cancel their listing and request the return of any item, at any time (outside of any active rentals) by emailing support@thebridaledition.co.uk. Return delivery fees will be at your expense, however collection from us is also possible.
Termination fees for withdrawing a listing
- For a rental listing, during the first 180 days from the date a rental item
is listed by The Bridal Edition any such request will incur the following early termination fee: the rental fees for each accepted rental order by us at the time of the request that we will no longer be able to fulfil.
- For a sale listing, any such request will incur the following termination
fee: 10% of the sale price per each sale item.
We will remove any listing of any returned item from The Bridal Edition website within a reasonable time period.
Lenders only
We endeavour to treat your item with the utmost care. However, if the rental item requires repairing, and /or additional cleaning beyond normal wear & rear or needs replacing, we will determine the cost and we will pay for this but only up to the replacement value for the rental item.
If a rental item is lost or stolen, we will agree to pay the replacement value for the rental item.
Our renters are liable for all items in their care. The full or part of replacement value will be charged to cover any items not returned, or damaged beyond repair.
We allow lenders to list their rental item with other rental platforms (“Other Rental Platforms”).
The Lender must give notice to us at support@thebridaledition.co.uk 3 business days once they have accepted a rental order for their item on Other Rental Platforms as well as the rental dates. If this rental order clashes with an existing rental order made via us, then The Bridal Edition rental order will take priority.
As the rental item will be in our possession, we must hold the right to fulfil the delivery and return of the item, therefore we will need the delivery details of each order. The cost of delivery & return will be borne by you and payment must be made before the rental item is sent out for delivery.
If the rental item is not returned on the final date of a rental order via Other Rental Platforms we will charge to your payment card the rental fee, delivery fee and cleaning fee incurred by us in not being able to fulfil other rentals via our services for the rental item.
FAQs - Delivery & Returns
Delivery
We currently deliver anywhere within the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, at this time, rentals or purchases cannot be facilitated outside of the United Kingdom.
Yes. Please ensure you are present to receive the item in person and that the address is a safe, secure location.
We offer:
- Next day delivery, if an order is placed by 12pm, Monday to Friday.
- Orders placed on Saturdays by 12pm, will arrive on Monday.
- Orders placed on Sundays by 12pm will arrive on Tuesday.
- Standard delivery within 2-5 working days.
Delivery options can be selected when you checkout on the website.
For rentals: your rental will be delivered on your chosen start date. If you need the item by a specific time, we advise selecting an earlier start date (at least 2 days before the event) to avoid disappointment.
Delivery charges are shown when you checkout once you choose your delivery option.
For items that are purchased, you will be given the option to add insurance cover to cover any damage, loss of theft of the item while in transit at an additional cost to the normal delivery cost options.
Return deliveries are free for rental orders.
We are notified when an item arrives at its destination, ensuring its safe arrival. However, if your order does not arrive on the expected delivery date, please email support@bridaledition.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve the situation.
Unfortunately at this time, we cannot ship internationally.
Some deliveries may require a signature.

Our shipping partners’ will directly email you with a tracking number so you can track your delivery.
You will receive a tracking number when your rental or purchase order is on its way to you. Please make sure you are in to receive the package, otherwise you may have to arrange a redelivery at your convenience. Please bear in mind that redelivery may not be available until the following day.
Please double-check the tracking information provided. If you still have no luck and your rental has not arrived by the end of the day on the rental start date, please email support@thebridaledition.co.uk.
We will always try to send our rentals out as far in advance as possible. Your original booking will not be impacted, i.e. you will not be charged further rental fees and the return date of your rental period remains per your current order.
Yes, you can collect your orders, both purchase and rental in store. Rental items will need to be collected on the rental start date. We will provide you with a specific date and time for collection in advance for both purchase and/or rental orders.
If you collected your rental item from the store, you will also need to return it to the store on the final date of the rental period.
Returns (for renters only)
We include a free return label with instructions on how to return a rental item. Please use the original packaging the rental order arrived in and ensure all rentals are returned on the final date of the rental period. For further guidance, please see return instructions in your booking confirmation email.
Rental items (including complimentary items and any protective packaging e.g. garment bags, sunglasses case) must be dropped off for return delivery by 12pm on the final day of your rental. If your return date is a Sunday or Bank Holiday, you must drop off your return to us by 12pm on the following day.
You can only return your rental item in store if you collected it in store. You must return the item on the final date of the rental period. We will provide you with a specific date and time for store drop offs in advance.
We ask that you return the item in the same packaging as it was delivered to ensure little or no waste occurs, including complimentary items and any protective packaging e.g. garment bags, sunglasses case.
You will be charged £10 for each protective packaging item and the value of each complimentary item not returned.
No need to worry about cleaning it before you return. Renters can enjoy their item for the duration of the rental period without the hassle of cleaning. All rented items are inspected and cleaned meticulously after every rental. This may include using our partner dry cleaners.
We put trust in all our future brides and kindly ask for you to send items back within the specified timeframe (i.e. on the final day of the rental period), as many items have back-to-back reservations.
Unfortunately, if an item is returned late, a late fee calculated as a daily pro-rata amount based on your rental fee will be charged. We will not charge you for more than an amount equal to 100% of the replacement value which will be charged in addition to the rental fee, the delivery fee and the cleaning fee (if applicable).
If a rental item is more than 14 days late, we’ll consider it lost and will charge you:
- the replacement value of the rental item, less any late fees that you have already paid (but in
addition to the rental fee, delivery fee and cleaning fee, where applicable), plus - the rental fee, delivery fee and cleaning fee (if applicable) incurred by us in not being able to fulfil other rentals via our services for the rental item.
If, for any reason, it looks like you can’t make your scheduled return date, please email support@thebridaledition.co.uk.
Unfortunately, we do not offer returns for international items.
If you lose the return label, you will be responsible for returning the rental item at your own expense by the final date of the rental period and provide us with a tracking number at support@thebridaledition.co.uk.
FAQs - Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel more than 7 days of the rental start date, you will receive a full refund for the rental fee, delivery fee and cleaning fee (if applicable) minus a cancellation charge being £10 to cover administrative costs.
Requests to cancel your rental order can be made by visiting the My Rentals section of your account or by emailing support@thebridaledition.co.uk.
Any cancellation made within 7 days of the rental start date will not be reimbursed and you will be charged the full amount of the rental fee, delivery fee and cleaning fee (if applicable) and any other applicable charges.
Unfortunately, all wedding gown dress sales are final. We encourage you to come and try on in our London boutique store to ensure you can see and try on the gown in person.
Refunds
We will issue a full refund in the following scenarios:
- If a rental or purchase item is received damaged beyond wearability (please email support@thebridaledition.co.uk with photos of the damage asap).
- If The Bridal Edition cancels a rental or purchase within 48 hours of the rental star date for a rental item or the estimated delivery date of a purchased item for reasons including, but not limited to:
- If an item is no longer available after an order has been made
- If there is a delay in sending out the rental item because of a previous rental issue
- If The Bridal Edition delivers the wrong item.
- If there is delay in delivery or non delivery by our delivery partners.

Refund payments will be processed within 10 days once a refund has been accepted by us and will be credited to the payment card you used to pay rental fee or purchase price or to any other payment card included in your account information that you have provided to us.
